Delicious food, attentive service - what more could you want?
Detail - shared the lamb ‘feast’ option, which was enough meat for 3-4 people, let alone a couple. Goat cheese profiteroles were delicious, beautifully presented - I even took a photo of them, something I never do (unlike millennials!)
Dessert was a slightly small and underwhelming chocolate fondant, but did not detract from the meal overall.
I’d like to try a few other dishes again soon.

Almost two years to the day we visited Rata again.with much anticipation. Would it be as amazing as last time ? Happily Rata is still one of our most memorable dining experiences . From front of house to the wait staff it doesn’t get any better and the food is exceptional.

Great food, great cocktails. We sat at the bar as we arrived with no booking, but they made the effort to squeeze us in. Would recommend

Lunch with three courses for only $45 each!! The beef tartare, salmon and cheese roll entrees were all amazing. The mains of pork belly and blue cod also amazing. The chocolate dessert, the vanilla mousse and cheese course all amazing. We went on to have a cocktail afterwards which were served very efficiently and were, of course, amazing. Definitely one of the best meals I have ever had.

We visited Rata last night to celebrate my birthday. The service was a little tardy to start with but improved significantly throughout the evening. The food however was divine! The local delight of cheese rolls were amazing as was the salmon starter. Our friends enjoyed the steak and butterfish, however the hero of the night would have been the steak tartare. My husband was in heaven! We also enjoyed the sides of roasted brussel sprouts and cheesy cauliflower.

The Beef Wellington on the table next to us was huge and looked amazing.

We highly recommend Rata for a special evening out.
