Lunch with three courses for only $45 each!! The beef tartare, salmon and cheese roll entrees were all amazing. The mains of pork belly and blue cod also amazing. The chocolate dessert, the vanilla mousse and cheese course all amazing. We went on to have a cocktail afterwards which were served very efficiently and were, of course, amazing. Definitely one of the best meals I have ever had.

We visited Rata last night to celebrate my birthday. The service was a little tardy to start with but improved significantly throughout the evening. The food however was divine! The local delight of cheese rolls were amazing as was the salmon starter. Our friends enjoyed the steak and butterfish, however the hero of the night would have been the steak tartare. My husband was in heaven! We also enjoyed the sides of roasted brussel sprouts and cheesy cauliflower.

The Beef Wellington on the table next to us was huge and looked amazing.

We highly recommend Rata for a special evening out.

I was with my husband during our honey moon, and we had the best time! The food was very good, amazing place and also very friendly staff!! A must go restaurant in queenstown!

Wow - where do you start??? Second time I’ve been to Rata, both brilliant - Last Friday was no exception! Clams, oysters, oh my gosh - that beef Wellington (Devine!!!), and thank the lord you still have those cinnamon oysters 😍. Let’s not forget the amazing staff - attentive, professional and friendly. My only regret about dining at Rata is going here on the first of my 4 nights. After having the Rata experience night one meant that all of my following meals were second rate by comparison. The venue, the staff, the food, the drinks- all amazing.
Just go. Go twice if you can.
