Don't think of taking this trip if wheelchair bound. There would appear to be very little thought given over the years to accommodating people with a disability. Their market is obviously fit, young people but a more efficient way of loading wheelchairs into the gondolas needs to be considered. Maybe something as simple as a portable ramp.
Parking is hopeless (as it appears to be all over Queenstown) and queues are long but if you persevere long enough there is a very decent set of attractions at the top.
