I was fortunate enough to do the Earnslaw Steamship cruise twice over a week. The first on a large private business group with around 90 people for a Banquet Dinner, and then several days later with my wife on a Gourmet lunch trip. The food selection was HUGE, and I imagine there couldn't be anyone that would come away hungry, or not enjoying their meal. The staff were very welcoming. It was enjoyable taking time out to wander around the farm seeing the animals and particularly the highland cows. Seeing the sheep dogs work was also very cool.

We were walking around the peir and saw this advertised.it looked like value for money so we climbed aboard the TSS Earnslaw and steamed across lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak. Its actually amazing to see this old technology at work in todays world, (the words built to last certainly apply).
The meal certainly lived up to its expectations and I definitely ate too much. Thankfully there was time to walk a bit of it off exploring the station setups.
This food, scenery, history and real life experience is recommended as value for money and a must do activity.

Fabulous experience of trip on a grand lady and superb lunch. All the staff were very professional and friendly. Despite an unfortunate turn of events whist docking and delaying our embarkation, all staff were reassuring and apologetic. Highly recommended.

Never disappoints. This was at least my third trip in 20 years and each was memorable. The scenery of course never changes and neither does the thrill of riding aboard an historic gem! But the time and day and one’s mood make each trip different. Crew always helpful. Vessel always immaculate. Must do in Queenstown.

Loved the trip , farm show and meal. Was a very memorable night. The boat was old, but very quaint and like stepping back in time. highly enjoyed.
