While in Queenstown it is a must to take a cruise on Lake Wakatipu on the "Earnslaw" We took the tour which included the BBQ lunch at Walter Peak Station> Although it was a wet day, we thoroughly enjoyed the excursion and the BBQ lunch was absolutely top class with a great selection. Staff also very good.

The ride on the Earnslaw was great. You are cruising on a pice of history.
We took the farm tour and had a great day feeding the animals. Then it finished with afternoon tea and a sheepdog demonstration.
We would do this trip again.

If you have the opportunity to do one of the steamship cruises then don't hesitate - do it! We chose the cruise and BBQ dinner at Walter Peak to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was such a memorable evening. The steamship is beautifully restored and maintained and was a fun way to get out onto the Lake. Walter Peak is outstanding in its beauty and the food was so delicious. Customer service was fantastic right from when we first bought our tickets through to disembarking at the end of the evening.

Best money spent in Queenstown in these covid troubled times. Josh the skipper was professional but humorous at the same time. Plan to get a little wet, laugh, smile and cheer and you wont leave disappointed. Come support these quality businesses.
