Took the coach / boat tour which lasted about 12 hours total. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job narrating our journey to the Milford Sound. They made plenty of stops along the way to allow for stretching and great photos. The boat ride was about 2 hours and took you through the Milford Sound with close ups to the waterfalls. We brought our own lunch on from one of the cafes at a stop but many people had either a buffet or picnic lunch that was pre-arranged. Seemed there was a decent variety for everyone. Overall, the tour was very organized. Possibly only change we would make is to take the Scenic Flight back to Queenstown which was only a 45 minute return versus 4 hours.

Took the Earnslaw 10.00am cruise to Walter Peak Station for buffet lunch. As a tourist in my own country I was blown away by the whole experience, the Earnslaw is an institution in itself, a magnificently preserved working steamship (with great coffee on board as well !) Great scenery across the lake and the lunch was incredible, pork, lamb, beef all barbequed, great salads and deserts as well, staff were friendly and obliging, very eager to help, world class, cannot recommend this cruise highly enough, top marks.

The trip to the Walter Peak high country is very family oriented.
We watched the sheep dog at work, bringing in the sheep.
Everyone watched as our farm guide sheared a virgin sheep,
its first shearing, very interesting and informative. A first for me
as an American tourist.
The farm has great historical tradition..
Our group 32 of us participated in a high tea in the farm house
The tea was hot and enjoyable. The biscuits, brownies and
finger foods were a treat. All of us left with a positive feeling
for the farm. many want to return with family and friends,
The steam boat round trip was another memorable experience.

The Earnslaw is beautifully restored and very interesting to see all the workings in the steam room. We did the round trip, not stopping at the cattle station. The scenery around queenstown is beautiful and its lovely to see it from the water. Nice cafe on board and loved the guy playing the organ..I understand sing songs take place but I think a few more beers were needed before that was going to happen!

Great fun and spectacular scenery. The lake tour on the old steam boat was just stunning. On arrival to the farm you're served a beautiful farm to table lunch that is simply delish. Highly recommend the "Sticky Date Pudding" for dessert! Farm tour is fun and the grounds are beautiful.
