We stayed here for 3 nights in January. Self-catered apartment, everything you need to cook a basic meal. Very clean. Staff were extremely helpful. Only downside is there is restrictions to the WIFI and the temperature of the shower is temperamental . Great size apartment, huge bed.

When we arrived here we were warmly welcomed by the lovely Jan and Wayne, we felt at ease as soon as we walked in! Our apartment was perfect, bedroom in the back of the apartment, then the walk in shower/toilet/washing machine room then a very spacious lounge/kitchen area with a decent fridge/cooker and cutlery section, then of course our dining room balcony which we enjoyed every time we walked out onto it! Jan and Wayne were so helpful throughout our trip and we really appreciated their expertise around Queentown and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank-you very much to you both 😊

We chose this place in Queenstown because of it's high rating from Tripadvisor. Sorry, but our apartment wasn't up to our expectation. We booked 5mths in advance and we think we got the worst apartment. Although the Whistler is in an excellent location, being only a 4 min walk to town the apartment was very tired and a lot of road noise. The bedroom was small and dark like a dungeon, with 1 small high window which opened onto the entrance alley way. Got woken up with the bins being emptied in the mornings.
Our ill lit bathroom had outside stairs right in front of the window, so any one walking past could see you having a shower :-/ Had to keep it closed, which caused condensation through out the apartment and on bathroom mirror. These stairs also went past part of our lounge and deck area, so not much privacy there either. The lighting was very poor with those horrible coil saver lights. The huge out dated sofa was most uncomfortable and the 1 vynal seat had cracks through it.
Good points: Comfortable bed, heated towel rail, new curtains, good open plan kitchen, close to town, free car parking. There is also a public car park across the road which charges $2.50 for the whole day or 50cents an hour.
Bad points: Not serviced, only towels changed

Room tip: Ask for rooms that are on 2nd floor and not near outside stairs

Wayne T, Manager at Whistler Holiday Apartments, responded to this reviewResponded 27 March 2016

We are sorry that your apartment did not meet your expectations. Many guests have enjoyed this apartment and this is the first time we have had such harsh comments made on it. Unfortunately having booked well in advance does not necessarily guarantee any particular apartment. Things change in this time and guests are placed where best we can. If you had made a special request at the time of booking we would have endeavoured to make that request possible. After staying four nights and letting us know you were not happy at check out and that you would have preferred a higher floor is very frustrating for us, as we may have been able to move you to another apartment of your liking.
We have an on-going refurbishment plan and because we have been almost fully booked since December, what we wish to achieve cannot be done until a quieter time.
We do not know why you mention the car park across the road because we provide undercover free car parking for guests. It was good to read though that your “good points” outweighed the bad ones.
We were also not aware that you wished to have the apartment fully serviced daily, we did give you this option at check in, but we cannot do what we do not know about.
Regards Jan and Wayne

Our host Wayne welcomed us in and was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean and stocked with everything you need for self-catering. Location is great, close to the centre and supermarkets.

Room tip: Our room overlooked the gondola but also overlooked the road. Room soundproof so not an issue for us.

Booked here not out of choice but because it was the only place with an opening... but now that we have been it will be our first choice in the future.
Close to town, beautiful calm views from balcony, the hosts wayne and jan are super friendly and ready to help at every opportunity.
Well done guys! We will be back :)
