Fantastic little Japanese restaurant on the 1st floor above the pedestrian road in Queenstown centre.
Very accommodating for the kids requirements and had beautiful and fresh sashimi which we all loved.
Definitely will be back when next in Queenstown.

Chose here for dinner and we were impressed! Amazing fresh food, especially the sushi (as good as the sushi I've had in Japan!). Everything was delicious, good variety on menu including options if you're not sure about Japanese food e.g chicken. Good sake & beer. Friendly & fast service, cosy little place. Average prices but well worth it, you won't be dissapointed.

We were looking for a Mexican restaurant. Somehow, as we arrived in front of the door, we saw another door, so discreet, and we decided to give it a go. We climbed the stairs, and there it was, a cosy little Japanese place, very nicely and traditionally decorated. A hidden gem!

We had there the best food that we ever ate. And I'm not even exaggerating. We could not stop ordering more and thanking the chef. We have had tempura and teriyaki tofu, as well as salmon sushis. I'm still speechless! Forget all you know about tofu and sushis, and please, please, come to try those (and the rest!) at Kappa.

I caught a flu bug while I was in Queenstown and was craving for hot soup. Chanced upon this Japanese restaurant at level 2 of the mall.

Order a pipping hot miso soup and another soup with clams. I was so pleased with it. My husband ordered a lamb Katsu which he said was excellent. Just a note that all these katsu does not comes with white rice. It is a separate order. A little different from what we have in Asia.

We were so satisfied with the meal that we went back second time on our last day in Queenstown. This time we ordered sashimi and they were very fresh and tasty.

A must visit if you are a fan of Japanese cuisine.
