The location is perfect... Steps away from lots of restaurants, the lake, shops, etc. The room felt old. It was clean but old. The bed was rock hard. The bathroom had a yellowish tinge to it. The staff were great and helpful. It was expensive but the views and location were worth it.

We booked this hotel not knowing how much we would love its location.
We were fortunate to get an upgrade to a balcony room facing the water, Botanic Gardens, expansive sky and mountains. Fabulous view.
The hotel is located across the street from the Steamer Wharf and many restaurants, the waterfront and Earnslaw Park, the location of the Saturday craft market. Also, nearby are other shops and the Queenstown Mall.
The hotel rooms are average but the bathroom amenities were quite lovely.

I normally don't write reviews about hotels of big chains but I have to make an exemption here because hospitality was so exceptional as seldom experienced.
Also worth to mention is the perfect location at the edge of the city centre. Just walk across the street and you are in the middle of everything.

Crowne plaza is right in the heart of the tourist section of town. Across the street from great bars and restaurants. The front desk team are exceptional. And check in was efficient. Got a nice room overlooking the lake. Breakfast was decent buffet with all the expected items. Be aware that parking is by valet only and costs an additional $30 per day. My biggest issue (kinda picky) was the guy cleaning the tables at breakfast obviously had no clue what he was doing and did not understand basic hygiene. Maybe some training would help. Was pleased that there was a laundry room available. This really came in handy. I would recommend this place.

Location, location, location! Stayed three nights in Queenstown during our kids summer break. Was a perfect time to visit as the fall season was wrapping up there. What a beautiful town! The hotel was wonderful and we were highly satisfied. Our room was upgraded to a beautiful lake view and our family enjoyed sitting out on the deck enjoying the picturesque little town. The staff were kind and friendly as well.. Also appreciated the self service laundry on site! Must have especially with kids in tow. As mentioned above, location is everything and this hotel hit the mark. Everything was within walking distance! Got to pick up the famous Fergburger take away and enjoy it on the deck with the amazing lake and mountain views. Definitely one of my favorite places to visit. Will not hesitate to book again with Crowne Plaza on our next visit to Queenstown.
