Yes! Our room was lovely and equiped with all that one expects.....but no sleep due to excessive temperatures, even with the fan on,, is unacceptable. Premium Inn offer full refund if unhappy but not here. All we got was a moan about how he, the manager, was trying to fund the aircon. This is immaterial to us as our 2 day R and R was spoilt. We notice that Heritage Christchurch also lacks aircon.....and wonder that perhaps the biggest % of clients are travellers and in fact...their opinion is really of no consequence?
Clearly there is no insulation so must also be a problem in winter. Have also noticed that praise is answered but complaining is not!

The hotel room is very comfortable - roomy and clean. The bedding is of high quality and the bathroom has both shower and tub which makes the stay very enjoyable. We only got the waterfall side but would definitely try to get the seaview rooms or rooms with balcony as we do think this is one of the best value hotels we have stayed in NZ.

This is a beautiful hotel/resort located at the end of Queenstown and up a hill in a very quiet area. There is a bus in front of the hotel that runs frequently into the town, and the hotel sells discount tickets. The hotel has a pool, part of which is under cover, and a gym. The grounds are beautiful, and the view from our balcony on the second floor (rear) was gorgeous - mountains and lake! The room was large and comfortable and the bed was great. The room had a refrigerator, bathrobes, iron and coffee maker. The bathroom was large, with a separate bathtub and shower and lovely toiletries. The reception area was very nice, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Although we were not in the center of town, we loved this hotel. The hotel is not air conditioned, but we were offered a fan which was very helpful when it was warm at night. Most of the time we didn’t need it.

We would have liked to be closer to town, but the bus was convenient and I think the price was probably a little lower than some of the closer hotels.

Room tip: Mountain view or Lake View

Nice location, friendly staff, a really good meal with great service - then hardly any sleep for any of us due to room being like an oven. We tried to sleep with open windows and fan on, but it was hopeless - far and away the worst night that I have experienced anywhere in the world. Not just me - all 4 of us had a distressing night that wrecked not only that evening but the next day too. We tried to get help in the night but there is no air con. The staff were apologetic but said that from 2 months the rooms are too hot and 'everyone complains about that'. SO if visiting Queenstown in summer AVOID!

Good morning Andy1512

Thank you for taking the time to offer your feedback following your recent stay with us. Please accept my sincere apologies that the room temperature was not comfortable during your stay. The hotel has operated for approximately 20 years, and like most competitor hotels in Queenstown within our tariff bracket, does not have air conditioning as this requirement is generally only for the occasional day over summer - I regret that this occurred during your stay.

I will definitely could have stayed longer than 2 nights. Rooms are large, cleaned, well appointed and quiet. Staff is very friendly. The restaurant is very good with a good selection of wines. It is 10/15 mn walk from the center of the city but you have a shuttle just in front of the hotel. I recommend the jet boat ride in the canyons, a lot of fun!
