We came across this cute laneway bar/restaurant on our first afternoon in Queenstown. ( It reminded us of Melbourne's laneway cafes ). The outdoor seating area was comfortable and inviting. The wines available for happy hour were lovely - got me hooked on Pinot Noir for the whole NZ visit! The only available option for vegans on the 'nibbles' menu were hot chips, which were fine. The staff seemed to be enjoying their work.

I just wanted a Bacon and Eggs breakfast.
Most places around had to have something fancy with this and/or charged a motza for it.
I walked around trying to find these at a decent price. I walked past No5 Church Lane and thought it sounded nice.
Upon entering, it was fairly empty, but it had a very nice interior. I picked a spot and the waiter was very prompt with his service.
I had a lovely coffee with my bacon and eggs and it was at a reasonable price.
Very happy with my experience here and would recommend having brekky here.

Thanks for the review, I'm glad we hit the mark with your breakfast!
Simple and effective, but with enough variety and invention to satisfy almost everyone, that's the goal of our breakfast menu, and all teamed with great coffee and cheery staff!

See you again soon.
Regards,
James Cavanagh

We had the best drinks, dinner and experience here. Luke our knowledgeable and lovely waiter recommended doing the mezze to taste a few dishes and it did not disappoint! Props to the chef because every meal was delivered to a high standard and absolutely delicious. It looked like a very busy night but somehow the waiter had everyone served and with a smile. This place is a hidden gem and I can't wait to visit again! 10/10 experience. Thanks Luke and team!

Many thanks for your review Alexandra - delighted you enjoyed your visit to No5, certainly look forward to welcoming you back again soon!
We have had a great response to the new menu items and our Mezze sharing style has long been a really good way to sample a range of dishes. Thanks also for the comments on the team, I'll certainly pass on to Luke a pat on the back.

Best regards,
