Owner description: Ziptrek Ecotours is NZ's #1 Original Zipline tour and is a spectacular eco-adventure through the forest canopy high above Queenstown, situated on Skyline Gondola hill. Ziptrek runs all year round and is stunning whatever the weather. With two tours to choose from it is suitable for everyone, whether looking for an introduction into Queenstown adventure (Moa 4-Line Tour) or wanting the latest gripping eco-exhilaration (Kea 6-Line Tour) which includes the steepest tree to tree zipline in the world.

Did the Karawau zip line and it doesn't even begin to compare with this one. Longer zips, more zips, can spin, go upside down, great scenery in the forest and looking over the lake and across to the mountains. Henri and Mark were great guides - friendly, enthusiastic, professional.

This was my first time zip wiring and we did the more expensive 6 wire Kea experience. Our guides were Aashram from India and Jess from Canada. They were very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. They showed us how to Zip right side up, upside down and cannonball stylee. They were also happy to give ideas for other activities in Queenstown as well as the best places to eat and drink including ice creams and hot chocolates.

The zips themselves were of varying lengths with the 4th zip longer than the first 3 added together and the 6th zip being the steepest in the world. The group we were in had 10 people which is probably the maximum number because of the waiting for each person to zip. The views are phenominal and the guides talked about the sustainability of the area and the conservation that was taking place. This was 3 hours of fun and thoroughly recommended.

Hi Kevin D,

thanks so much for your awesome 5 star review! We are delighted to hear that you had such great time zipping through the trees with us. Our guides are extremely passionate about what they do. I will be sure to pass on your review to Aash and Jess. We do take a maximum of 10 guests on each tour in order to minimise the wait times. While at the platforms in between zips, we do encourage our guests to read our interpretive eco-information boards and take in the breath-taking views of Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu. Thanks for coming on tour with us and for recommending Ziptrek!

Kind regards,
the Ziptrek Crew

We went on the 6 zip line tour on 3 June 2017 and had an amazing time. Amy and Henri were fantastic guides and great fun. We felt safe and comfortable throughout the whole trip. I wish we had time to do this again. If you are thinking of doing this in Queenstown, do not hesitate!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Zipline experience AND the eco-tourism aspect of the time we spent. Sapphire and Mark we fun, taught us a great deal, and made us feel confident in their skills and our safety. There were people in our group from age 7 to 55 and we all equally enjoyed ourselves. We did the 4 zip experience, but there is a more adventurous 6 zip option as well.

So much fun for all ages! Our tour guides Henri and Nic were great! Wear comfy shoes as there is a steep but short walk back up the hill. Highly recommend it. We did the 4 track line but should have done the 6 in retrospect!
They respect the landscape and are a great operator!

Hi Candaretti,

thanks for coming zipping with us and for your fantastic review. We are delighted that you had so much fun on tour. The short uphill walk is part of our Moa 4 Line Tour as it starts and finishes from the top, whereas the Kea 6 Line brings you all the way back down to the bottom of the mountain. We would love to have you come try out the Kea 6 Line next time you're in Queenstown!

Kind regards,
the Ziptrek Team
