Completed the 6 line Kea tour under the excellent guidance of Kevin and Sam. The guides had great banter to put everyone at ease but reassuringly they were also focussed on the necessary safety aspects too.
The lines provide fleeting views over the town and are a fun way to get back down the mountain rather than the return gondola. Challenges set by the guides make this zip line tour interesting...the trust step calls for you to override what your brain is telling your body to do. But there's no pressure, the guys make sure you get what you want out of the experience.
The short downhill walk between lines 5 and 6 builds the anticipation and adrenaline as you get set up for the steepest zip in the world. To coin a phrase , it's awesome! Travelling at near 70km/hr it's a relief to know that the guides are there to help brake your descent so you can truly make the most of the ride!
Great fun, exhilarating and important ecological messages shared along the way.
Only downside is that if you use the gondola you can't pay for a one way ticket.
