Description: Backdropped by the Remarkables Mountain Range, Jack's Point is a truly authentic and unique destination from which to experience Queenstown's stunning scenery. Jack's Point Clubhouse & Restaurant draws its inspiration from the traditional Kiwi woolshed, making a distinctive statement in its outstanding location while blending with the surrounding rural landscape. The rustic complex incorporates a range of raw materials to reinforce the woolshed theme combining concrete floors and walls with macrocarpa timber beams and cedar shingles. Floor to ceiling windows provide stunning views from every aspect taking in the Remarkables Mountain range, Coronet Peak and other key landmarks. The Clubhouse & Restaurant is surrounded by Jack's Point championship golf course, which is billed as one of the world's most spectacular golf courses and is situated on the edge of Lake Tewa. Open for private dinners and events by appointment only.

Our decision to have brunch at Jacks Point Restaurant was largely influenced by the amazing views of Remarkables whilst overlooking the world renowned golf course. We were not disappointed and the generous restaurant setting with central large fireplace added to our comfort and enjoyment. We were looked after by engaging wait staff and our decision to have coffees with 'tapas style' snacks including calamari and pork belly with sourdough bread was exactly right for us on the day. I would have loved to play the course but had to be satisfied with the views and meal this time - the Club welcomes non-golfers based on our experience. Recommended.

Started as soon as we walked in, staff would not greet us and were clearly fluffing around. After standing around for a while, we decided to seat ourselves at one of the many empty tables. On way to table said hello to waitress and was ignored. First waitress could not take an order and clearly was quickly replaced. Second waitress was good and took order. Meal was pretty average. Everything went down hill when Ducks arrived. Wife walked down to lake to feed the ducks and was promptly approached by the Nazi Manager and Told off for feeding ducks. Wife got upset so we promptly paid our bill of over $550.00 and left. Really what good did telling her of achieve ???? its not like the ducks will go away. But we did and we wont go there again. The one highlight, asked for something off the menu that is usually served here and waitress did a great job of getting it organised.

Breakfast was banging, the menu is set with Central Otago in mind, it had everything you'd want prior to playing a round of golf.
The food was beautifully presented and tasted really good. I had the locally seasoned potatoes with mushrooms and poached eggs drizzled with a mouth watering chefs butter sauce. I couldn't think of a better way to start the day.
Well worth a meal and the coffee is superb

My daughter worked here when she first came to Queenstown so I'm probably biased but everything I'd heard was borne out when we had lunch here.

The view from the dining area is absolutely stunning. Terrific selection of wine and beers, and there is something for everybody on the reassuringly short menu.

We had a good selection of the starters, and 4 of the 5 choices of mains (you can also choose from the clubhouse menu (I think the only difference was a burger but I might be wrong).

Everything was well cooked, tasty and prettily presented.

It is expected, though not ordained, that you will share the meals among yourselves which was a great idea, so got to taste everything. (The wife, who doesn't do fish, kept her lamb to herself, although I did try it and that was excellent too.)

Staff efficient and very friendly.

Highly recommended
