Description: Backdropped by the Remarkables Mountain Range, Jack's Point is a truly authentic and unique destination from which to experience Queenstown's stunning scenery. Jack's Point Clubhouse & Restaurant draws its inspiration from the traditional Kiwi woolshed, making a distinctive statement in its outstanding location while blending with the surrounding rural landscape. The rustic complex incorporates a range of raw materials to reinforce the woolshed theme combining concrete floors and walls with macrocarpa timber beams and cedar shingles. Floor to ceiling windows provide stunning views from every aspect taking in the Remarkables Mountain range, Coronet Peak and other key landmarks. The Clubhouse & Restaurant is surrounded by Jack's Point championship golf course, which is billed as one of the world's most spectacular golf courses and is situated on the edge of Lake Tewa. Open for private dinners and events by appointment only.

My daughter worked here when she first came to Queenstown so I'm probably biased but everything I'd heard was borne out when we had lunch here.

The view from the dining area is absolutely stunning. Terrific selection of wine and beers, and there is something for everybody on the reassuringly short menu.

We had a good selection of the starters, and 4 of the 5 choices of mains (you can also choose from the clubhouse menu (I think the only difference was a burger but I might be wrong).

Everything was well cooked, tasty and prettily presented.

It is expected, though not ordained, that you will share the meals among yourselves which was a great idea, so got to taste everything. (The wife, who doesn't do fish, kept her lamb to herself, although I did try it and that was excellent too.)

Staff efficient and very friendly.

Highly recommended

From time to time us cyclists seem to end up in golf clubs...
Ok, not too surprising in Jacks Point where the clubhouse is the only point offering food.
Breakfast menu had some not too common choices and all the stuff we ordered was of amazing taste and quality. Add the great scenery, sitting at the foot of the Remarkables and you get a great start in the day.

Our group of 13 all had lunch after the guys had played golf in the morning. What an amazing setting, with The Remarkables behind and the golf course in front. The food and wine was delicious. Would definitely go back again.

This is a wonderful setting for breakfast, lunch or late afternoon bites (closes at 6 pm). The food is well presented and beautifully cooked but is expensive for what it is, and the draft beers are over-priced. A good majority of golfers that I know want reasonably priced drink and food when they get in, nothing too fancy, but this is not an option. BLT-like sandwich, caesar salad, or burger etc. would be nice, and they could still run the menu with clams, oysters, lamb rump, seafood of the day etc. Guess it's aimed at high-diners, but they must be missing out on custom from visiting golfers

We learnt our lesson two years ago when turning up for coffee only and not lunch. The male running the show (saw him again on this visit) can be so uptight ie rude if not booked for lunch. Sorry, as a family we just can't afford splashing out big time for lunch. So this time we made sure to seggregate ourselves to the armchairs and all was fine. Service was a bit hotchpotch amd slow, but our coffees, beer and chips were all great. Amazing scenery. Overall, all paying customers should be made to feel welcome. This visit was fine, previous visits not so much.
