Owner description: "EVERY STEP A STORY....” It’s our privilege to take you into some of the most beautiful and spectacular areas in the Queenstown and Fiordland region to experience everything from glacial valleys and majestic mountains to beautiful lakes and pristine rainforest. Our friendly, knowledgeable local guides ensure you have the time to enjoy the whole experience nature has provided. We’ve chosen our range of walks for their natural history, scenic beauty, remote locations and varied terrain. We’re proud of our company's reputation for providing friendly, informative and personalised guided walks for small groups, and working to make Guided Walks NZ the most memorable part of your New Zealand experience. Why choose Guided Walks NZ? The answer’s simple – we’re the only guiding company permitted to walk "off track" in the National Park. This means we avoid the crowds and experience a true 'wilderness' walk, letting you see and touch the real New Zealand. Guided Walks since 1868

It was a really enjoyable day spent with our capable and knowledgable guide Jenny! The adventure began with a jet boat “flight” on the Dart River (not to be missed!) and continued when Jenny met our small group and took us along the quiet trails of Mt. Aspiring National Park. As a photographer, I found ample opportunities to focus on birds, fascinating plants and other unique finds along the way. This day-long experience added greatly to our time in New Zealand!

An unforgettable three days exploring the magical Hollyford River valley.
Our guides Mark and Susanne shared many stories about the history of the area as well as their knowledge of the plants and birds we saw along the way.
The lodge staff welcomed us after a long day and looked after our every need. Warm cosy rooms with a hot water bottle in our bed and a chocolate on the pillow.
Great food and wine was enjoyed by all the group who were a pleasure to walk beside for the three days.
The weather affected our trip itinerary and the guides and lodge staff were amazing in their abilities to ensure our trip was still enjoyable.
Highlight was the helicopter flight into the stunning Milford Sound!
If your even contemplating a guided walk then you can’t look past this one!
Thank you Guided Walks for an experience I will never forget!

Thanks so much for taking the time to place a review on your Hollyford 3 Day Experience. We're so pleased to hear you enjoyed your trip with us, even if the weather did disrupt things a little. We are lucky to be able to operate a guided walk in such a stunning and remote part of the world and it's always nice when our guests appreciate this. Thanks again and we hope to see you back in the Hollyford one day.

3 hour walking tour with professional guide around lakeshore. Beautiful scenery, birds, trees, lake...nature at its finest. Highly recommend! Nice to see other parts of the lake outside the city.

On a damp and cloudy day we had the luxury of our own guide Steffan to take us around Bob's Cove trails. His knowledge of flora and fauna as well as local history was impressive and made this a special activity.
