Owner description: Whitewater rafting is the last extreme experience in the adventure capital of New Zealand and we intend to keep it that way. You will embark on a man V nature battle of willpower in one of the most scenic environments in the world. Raft where the jetboats fear to go and prepare to take a rapid in the face as you hold on during this four hour paddle experience. Don’t take photos of the river, take on the river.

This is so worth doing while in New Zealand especially in Queenstown. Thrills while looking at the beauty of New Zealand!

The trip was well organised throughout. The bus ride to the ‘put in’ is awesome in itself. Our guide Heath was excellent we had a great time rafting. Very knowledgeable about rafting and surroundings.

Highly recommend especially if it’s rained the day before.

I had never been white water rafting and was very excited to experience it for the first time in Queenstown. We booked online and met at the Go Orange shop where we were all transported to another location to change into our rafting gear (wet suits, life jackets, etc). You leave your clothes in a little cubbie in the locket room and are able to give one of the staff your valuables to hold which are locked in a cabinet. Lee then drove us to the drop site via a very narrow and extreme road which was part of the excitement. During the ride to the drop site, one of the rafting guides went over many, many safety points. The information was actually beginning to scare me a little; however, I am extremely glad it was all provided in order to prepare me for the experience. Once at the drop site, there is one last chance to use a toilet and off we went. Our rafting guide, Mark, lead our crew down the river. I can't say enough good things about Mark. He was friendly and engaging, yet very professional and provided excellent instruction. Our raft did end up flipping at one point; however, due to the safety briefing held prior to launch and all the rafting crew that were on standby, we were all back in the raft very quickly and without incident. It was very impressive to see that at every major rapid, the guides had a safety network set up so that someone was always instantly available to jump in and help, if needed. There are some very exciting rapids and there are also points where you can take a little break to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I loved every moment of this trip and want to give a huge thanks to Mark for keeping us safe and sharing a little about his experiences. If considering this activity, for the sake of your own safety and the safety of the rest of the people in the raft, I would definitely listen to the safety warnings and instructions and keep your physical and/or mental limitations in mind before getting on the raft. I consider myself to be in fairly decent shape and thought this was a strenuous activity when we were navigating the rapids. The excitement is definitely worth the effort which made this one of my favorite activities during our trip to NZ. Thank you!

We rafted in February of 2018. The ride to the put in point was exciting and nerve wracking!! The views were amazing and our driver did a great job. After our safety briefing (pay attention!) we were off! The canyons were beautiful and there was plenty of time to relax and enjoy the scenery. When we hit the rapids it was crazy fun. Our raft did flip over in"O Sh%^&*t" rapids. Everything we were taught in the safety briefing kicked in and the guides did a fantastic job of working together to get all of us to shore and back on our raft. We enjoyed everything about the trip. The staff was great from the people in the store in town, the staff gearing us up for the trip, the guides, and of course the bus driver! We re both in our mid to late 60's and would do the trip again if we could. Go for it !!!

Steve and I went on the easier ride, it was great. Martijn and crew really looked after us. Swimming down the rapids was terrific, though difficult with all the gear on.
