Our second stay at Orchard Cottage, this time in Richmond which was just as gorgeous. As usual absolutely the accommodation was spotless with Jane thinking of everything right down to the home baked muffins. Yum!!! Roger keeps the gardens in immaculate shape and all in all we can't fault this idyllic home from home. We would like to repeat the experience for many years to come.
Thank you Roger and Jane for making our stay so perfect.

This cottage is the best self contained accommodation we have had the pleasure to stay in ( worldwide). To stay it's fully equipped, is an understatement.Jane & Roger provide everything you need and more. Immaculate cottage with excellent kitchen & bathroom amenities, peaceful setting within a few minutes drive to Arrowtown, plenty of tips, places to visit etc. Jane's home made muffins are the best. This is the go to place in and around Queenstown.By the way, the photos DO NOT do justice to this place.

Cottage is in a lovely setting with views to snow capped peaks on three sides. Comfortable lounge and two bedrooms. (one with two single beds accessed through the double). Well equipped kitchen and warm and cosy heating. Loved sitting on the veranda with a wine or a coffee. Private garden with clothes line and seating. Hosts friendly and very hospitable. Would love to visit again.

We appointed cottage, with a peaceful aspect to the mountains. Ideal for a couple or young family (the second bedroom is off the master bedroom). Little extras included home baking on arrival and a drop-off at the wedding we were attending. Lovely.

We are here currently and have been for 3 nights.

We are in the wee units near the main house as Or hard Cottage was booked and can't praise it highly enough.

It's a home away from home with Jane the hostess going out of her way to make everything lovely.

Lots of little touches that are far above your usual accommodation such as fresh baking, stamped postcards to send to friends, really comprehensive information about local attractions, freshly picked flowers and herbs, spotlessly clean, lovely big comfy bed, views to die for.

It's position is beautiful, the Remarkables on one side, Coronet Peak on the other, beautiful garden setting thanks to Rogers green fingers.

Arrowtown is walkable, so is Lake Hayes, great cafe and wine cellar round the corner. (Akarua Wines)

I could stay here for a very long time...

This is truly a piece of paradise. The most delightful cottage complete with delightful hosts amidst some of the best scenery in the world. The cottage is more than comfortable. Jane and Roger have thought of everything to make this a perfect place to be - fresh herbs; fresh muffins; a bowl for popcorn and the wherewithal to make it; plush dressing gowns; a kitchen equipped for a chef!; reading material and games to keep you entertained for days without having to leave and all this within a minute of great restaurants, cafes, wineries (there is one literally 'around the corner'). The only drawback at all is being torn between wanting to sight-see but not wanting to leave such a comfortable and magic place. I wouldn't look to stay anywhere else in the Wakatipu Basin -this is it!
