Booking online what your see is what you get, the accommodation is basic yet adequate and tidy. We were in room 105, the bathroom had been modernized, the kitchen was very tired and the bed probably need to be replaced soon. Slept ok but woke up a little bit sore from the bed so it wasn’t an excellent night sleep.

Our room was on the ground level, which is great to be able to walk straight out and into the footpath. With a wide front window you got some great views of the lake but you felt exposed to people walking by who could look into your room. A simple fix would be to install net curtains on the ground floor rooms to add a bit more privacy whilst still being able to see outside and not have to always close the curtains. If you want a room higher up then you need to pay more. The street can be busy even at night we could some time here pedestrians walking by and cars, if i was to stay here again I would bring to ear plugs to sleep.

The location is excellent, right across the road from the lake it’s a beautiful easy short 5min walk to the heart of Queenstown shops, bars and restaurants. The motel staff were also very helpful, welcoming and friendly.

We’ve stayed here 3 times now over the past few years. We’ve always found it to be good value for money. You’re literally 3 minute walk into town with lakeside views. Queenstown is such an expensive place to visit but that’s why this place is such a gem, you’re not paying the earth for accommodation close to town. I’ve stayed both on the bottom and top floor and cannot fault either. They’ve updated the bathrooms since our last visit. It is an old tired building however the location and staff I cannot fault.
Yes the back corridor light is on at night (bottom floor) but they have a door on the bathroom you can close to keep it out of the bedroom and our kitchen had a curtain.
We’ll definitely stay next time we’re in Queenstown

There are both apartments and hotel rooms at this location and my family and I are staying in a two bed duplex apartment with the best view we have ever seen anywhere we have travelled to in the world,including Canada which we truly love visiting. There is a huge balcony off the lounge which is very spacious with an open plan kitchen. there is also a toilet and a utility room with a huge tub, washer and dryer upstairs and downstairs there is a very large bathroom, a twin bedroom and a large double bedroom with another large balcony. The best view is from the lounge as the bedrooms are downstairs. would definitely recommend a stay here as it is in a very quiet spot not far from the centre of town. You could just sit for hours looking out over the lake at all the water sports going on which seem endless but great fun. would love to return here
