Owner description: Nomad Safaris offers guided 4WD and Quad Bike tours around the Queenstown Lakes area. Half or full day and charter options are available. We offer very popular tours to Lord of The Rings filming locations where you can experience the phenomenon that is LOTR. We also run tours to Skippers Canyon or Macetown where you visit old goldmining ghost towns and hear about the unique history of pioneer New Zealand and have a go at goldpanning for yourself.

Flip was our guide for this tour, she was outgoing and chirpy. Paid $169 for this half day tour. The scenes are about similar after a while.
Comprising of green-brown mountains and lakes along with pictures of the Lord of the ring movie scene and how was it filmed.
The 4WD ride can be bumpy and put people to a quick nap.
Light refreshments (hot beverages and cookies) are provided.

Hi 'TheWorldIsOurHome' - love your TA name!
Very happy you had fun with us. and thank you for your great review. I am always amused by people being sent off to sleep by the bumps, must take us back to being rocked to sleep by our Mums... Anyway, very glad you enjoyed the trip, Flip, scenery and refreshments. Thank you.

Julie our guide was knowledgeable on plants, birds, and general lore, also very friendly. We loved the hike through moss and forest with occasional waterfalls. The trail is perfectly maintained. We did a total of 10 miles, so felt we deserved dinner.

We combined a custom Nomad Safari after the Shotover Jet ride in Queenstown. The 3 hour tour capped off truly memorable day in Queenstown. Graham our driver/guide was brilliant. Afternoon tea in the Arrow river whilst panning for gold was an unexpected highlight. I'd recommend Nomad Safari to anyone wishing to see a different side of Queenstown.

Philip, You picked a great tour with our "Essential Queenstown" activity. This combo with Shotover Jet really is 'essential' and showcases Queenstown's reputation as the Adventure Capital.
Graeme is one of our most experienced guides and always has lots of stories to tell. We are delighted you enjoyed this tour and will recommend us. Thank you.
