Stunning views and well equipped villa. Perfect for our family of 5. Very comfortable all round. Close to centre although walk back very uphill. Only 2 negatives, the master shower smelled a bit of sewerage which probably just needed bleach in the drains and the daily cleaners were not very good.

Room Tip: The fourth bedroom as no windows so feels very enclosed but our young son put up with it. Not sure...

Dear Lalley
Thanks for your review and you enjoyed the comfort and views from your villa.
Sorry to hear there was an odour coming from the master shower, we are very vigilant with maintenance and have a very prompt team of tradesmen that usually attend immediately to any detractions/maintenance issues. However sometimes during the peak peak season with staff shortages Queenstown wide sometimes its hard for staff and contactors to keep up with all guest demands and expectations and for that we apologise as we always do our best.
We would be interested to know what your issues were with the daily cleaners so we could work with them to rectify going forwards. Staysouth runs its own cleaning staff which is supplemented by temp staff via an agency to help deal with demand/seasonal fluctuations and we work hard to ensure a seemless service.
Thanks again for taking the time to feedback.

Kind regards
Andy and the Staysouth team.

A wonderful stay. Well equipped kitchen, magnificent views of Queenstown, fabulous bathrooms and walk-in robes. The walk up and down the hill is great to walk off the delicious food and wine offered in town. That said, if you don’t want to walk the complimentery daily taxi voucher is there to use.

Room Tip: If it’s hot choose the downstairs bedrooms - very cool in summer if you want to sleep in

Hi Annie
Glad you enjoyed the walk into and back from town. Healthy living is where its at and bit of daily walking is a great way to work off the indulgences enjoyed whilst on holiday!
Theres nothing quite like whats on offer at Commonage Villas and the team at Staysouth are very passionate about these villas and what they offer our visitors.
Thanks for taking the time to post.

Kind regards

Excellent location, quiet, above town noise. Spacious, clean, modern. All the amenities you could want. Spent lots of time on the balcony enjoying the view. Request a unit on lower side of property, as the view is unobstructed. Walking trail to Queenstown Hill is right around the corner. This accommodation has to be one of the best in town. Only addition would be fans in each bedroom as the unit could get warm during the summer day. Management quickly brought more upon request. Perfect spot for multiple day stay. Also, trash capacity and some kitchen utensils were lacking. Coffee makers would be good addition. Had to boil water and make with French Press. Not a tragedy.

Room Tip: request unit on lower side of property. Views are spectacular and unobstructed

Hi Srex

Thanks for your lovely feedback.
We are continually looking at ways to improve the villas and use owners feedback forums as a valuable tool as how to upgrade amenities at the Commonage Villas.
This year Queenstown experienced a massive heatwave which started in October and heat records dating back to the early 1900's were surpassed. As a result fans became impossible to purchase and it became a constant juggling act to keep the temps down.
As a result of this we are going to recommend to all our owners of Commonage Villas (they are privately owned with the vast majority Managed by Staysouth.com) that we purchase and install heat exchange units which will provide airconditioning in the summer time.
If all is approved we would look to install these in May.
Thanks again

Kind regards
Andy and the Staysouth team

Spacious, luxury accommodation. Peaceful, yet only 10 /15 minute walk from town centre. Fabulous spot to watch the sun set over Lake Wakatipu. Our daughters - 19 and 13 - reckon it was the best family holiday we've had.

This review is for Villa 3 and our stay was perfect which is a really big call for me to make. Villa 3 (and Villa 11) are managed by Sotheby’s and they have thought of literally everything. Queenstown can get a little rowdy and crowded over the Christmas break so being just that little bit out of town (5 minute walk downhill) was excellent. Another thing to mention is that, for once, the pictures online of the property match the reality. The Christmas tree was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. If I was able to pack this Villa up & take it with me, I would have. I run an interiors IG page and am SUPER fussy and some might even rudely say, hard to please so take this review as a mega endorsement. If you can afford it (and all things considered, it’s not too pricey as the Villa comfortably sleeps 6), I highly recommend a stay here so call Michelle at Sotheby’s to book yourself in. Immediately.
