What a treasure - a jewel box of a property. Laura greeted us warmly and filled us in on a bit of the history of the place. Our room was sumptuous - every detail considered - and what a view! Wowza. Great to be just away from the bustle (noise?) of busy Queenstown, but within easy reach to walk down for dinner. The breakfast on Monday morning was gorgeous - lots of lovely healthy options… a perfect send off before a long day of travel.

Hulbert house is so charming and well located. It's a small boutique hotel run by a great staff. Breakfast is great, and they are so kind. Is on a steep hill but only a 5-7 min walk down into town. Highly recommend it!!

Room tip: the grand suite is great!! Loved the bathroom!

For our honeymoon, Hulbert House was an amazing experience and stay. The room was beautiful and comfortable, and what really set the stay apart was the hospitality and kindness of the staff. We really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and happy hour each day, and getting to know the staff and fellow guests. We can only hope to return in the future! Thank you!

I’m not one to claim that magic exists in this world, but magic is exactly what I found at the Hulbert House. From the moment you walk into the door, you can’t help but feel transported back to a simpler time. The décor is vintage and inviting. The rooms are spacious and fashioned in such a way as to make you feel like you are staying at a family member’s house. Every room is unique and different, and every view - whether it be of the garden or the lake, is breathtaking. Breakfast time is a fantastic experience, as you snack on delicious treats while waiting for an item ordered off of the menu. The evenings are just as pleasurable, as you will be treated to canapés and refreshments. But the true magic of this place lies in the staff. Jade, Jay, and Lauren are absolutely amazing, and had we not met them, I might be writing a completely different review. We were greeted as friends when we arrived, and we had made some new friends by the time we left. I might be over-romanticizing the experience because it was my wedding, but it took less than 12 hours into our stay before my wife and I started to refer to the Hulbert House as “home” instead of “the hotel”. Don’t miss out on the most unique and luxurious experience in Queenstown!

Room tip: Book the Firth Suite!

Dear Jeff and Farrrah,

You two are just way too kind! Thank you for your lovely review- there is nothing that makes us more happy then to be able to provide an experience like the one you have just mentioned. It was our pleasure to have been part of your wedding day and we really do hope to see you both again- Chicago is now on our to do list.

We wish you both all the happiness in the world and look forward to seeing you again.

Warmest wishes,
Jade, Jay and the Hulbert House team
