We took the 7:15 coach trip to Milford on a beautiful hot and sunny day. The bus driver was great with regular scenic stops and lots of pieces of information about the area. The 2hr 15min nature cruise was the perfect amount of time to get up close with the sound. We even saw seals and dolphins and were kept entertained by the guide. Be warned it is an extremely long day getting back to Queenstown at about 8pm but worth it.

Kia Ora Sarah and thanks for the review. We are delighted to see how much you enjoyed your trip to Milford Sound with us. We've been blessed to have plenty of wildlife in the sounds this summer meaning lots of satisfied visitors! We agree that it is a long trip from Queenstown however definitely worth the trip. For people who are staying in Queenstown and not up to such a long coach ride, then we do offer the option of flying to Milford however this is weather dependent.
Kind regards, the team at Real Journeys.

Best way to have a glimpse up and close of Milford Sound. Stunning waterfalls, stunning scenery and seals are highlights of the cruise.

It was quite a trek to get there but once in Doubtful Sound (Deep Cove) it was breathtaking. Knowledgeable guide narrated cruise. We saw baby seals and bottlenose dolphins. The boat was turned off at one point to bask in the sounds and sites of this peaceful, stunning place. It was a bit cold and very windy so bring a jacket.

Kia Ora David, thanks for posting this 5 star review. We are delighted to see how much you enjoyed this overnight cruise in Milford Sound. Getting up close and personal to nature on a kayak and seeing the scale of the sound is truly humbling and really makes you appreciate the beauty of it all. We hope the rest of your time in New Zealand is just as enjoyable.
Kind regards, the team at Real Journeys.
