Enjoyed the lunch time cruise on Milford sounds yesterday . Scored a nice day and we managed to go out further towards the heads then previously been the case in last few weeks . Saw dolphins , eagles , seals and the captain positioned the boat close to the waterfalls and some people got soaked and it was certainly a sight to see. The lunch was excellent for the 20 per person. Great value and tasty .

Overall an excellent tour with no crowding and excellent on board facilities to be enjoyed by all . Well done !

Hi there,
Thank you for your kind review!
I’m extremely pleased you were able to see the dolphins as they like to hide.
Being a smaller boats does have its great advantage of being less crowded and we are happy you got to enjoy the space.
Take care,
The Team at Mitre Peak Cruises.

Staff / crew were very very friendly, the boat had only a dozen passengers so we were very fortunate to enjoy great close ups, falls, penguins aplenty and space to really get about, I particularly liked the smaller boat as it seemed we could see more ask more and do more... great value and great experience.

We were dropped off for our cruise by Ray (Fiordland Tours) .
We booked the whole trip with Mitre Peak Cruises .
It was a fun cruise , they go out the furthest.
Very informative. We saw Seals lying on the Rocks and Penguins swimming in the water . The scenery is amazing , you get to go right up under the waterfalls. September is a great time to go not to busy .
Also we had a great lunch with us which was given to us by Ray from the bus , so very worth it , very yummy . Highly recommend booking through Mitre Peak Cruises and they use Ray from Fiordland’s Tours . It’s a win win all around day .

Great crew to see Milford Sound with.
As a Queenstown resident I have been there 2 times. The Mitre Peak Cruises is the one to go on! A smaller but so much more intimate experience and not crowded at all!
Staff is very professional and informative. They do have a staff member on the boat cruising around to help you with any inquires or questions you have.

So glad we paid the extra to come on this cruise! Way smaller group, there was only about 20 people on board! Got to see everything without the fight of a million people. Crew were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We were travelling with our 4 month old baby and nothing was a hassle at all.

Thank you everyone for the lovely trip through Milford sound!

Hi Kirsty, thanks for taking the time to review us on TripAdvisor, we really appreciate the 5 star rating! Having a smaller boat definitely makes it a lot easier to see the sites and relax without having to worry about anyone else. We also love having kids on board and our crew make a conscious effort to talk with everyone - including the little ones! Safe travels and all the best.
