A group of us dined here for lunch. Were greeted and seated by one of the staff, she was fairly friendly. Wasn't too long before our drinks order was taken and not long after that our food order was taken. There was quite a lot to choose from on the menu, which is sometimes a bit of a worry (e.g. do they have ALL items ready to go FRESH once ordered?) however all the food came out together, presented well but taste was a bit so so, nothing too spectacular.
There is a play area for the younger diners when required and also toilets out by the bar area. Plenty of free parking and wheelchair access.

It's always a good place to go !! A nibble or a meal. Really lovely setting in tranquil gardens or indoors and a fire going on colder days. Great play ground for the kids. Thoroughly recommend this place and send lots of people that have been horse trekking with me around there (2 minute drive)suitable for any occasion! !!

I am had not been to this place for a while as there are better more refined places to eat. Again the menu is huge which I am no fan of. However six of us went for lunch, the meals were all very nice. I had the Thai green curry which was said to be spicy, no real hint of spice but well flavoured. Service was good, the total bill with just some soft drinks and a couple of coffees was $172, not too bad. We were all happy.

We were bumped off the Top 10 campsite in Invercargill and directed to the campsite in Otatara.

Sunday night, heading out of town with just scraps in the fridge of the motorhome; things were not looking good.

Until we found this oasis of warmth and happiness next door to the campsite.

A huge menu is usually a worry and potentially indicates a method of cooking that ends with a “Ping”.

How wrong can you be!

This was one of the best meals I ate in New Zealand.

The fish and chips were top drawer and the chips definitely the best I had. My wife had pan fried fillets of fish and they were fabulous.

We shared a dessert and a great bottle of Sauvignon Blanc.

Warmly recommended.

A colleague and I dined here while working in Invercargill last week. It was a nice night and we enjoyed sitting outside. Service was very good and we didn't wait long for our meal once we had made our choice from the vast menu. So much to choose from. Will be back again to try so,etching different. While this restaurant is about 20 mins out of Invercargill it is a lovely drive and not far from the beach.
