One of the best motels l have stayed in for a long time. stayed in a studio well appointed good bed good couch to sit on good size TV everything u need for a good stay good friendly staff. Well done team. Lovely pub a cross the road but had a disappointing meal piad $17 for 1/2 a bowl of sea food chowder and 1 slice of toast. And $22 for a burger about the size of a slider and a few chips had to go to mackers for a feed afterwards so eating elsewhere.

We had a double studio room. It was a comfortable room. The shower is over the bath so if you had mobility issues you had to be very very careful.
Our problem was we were in an accessway and it was noisey. People walking past laughing and talking all hours. The homestead pub is just over the road and the live band were turned up loud til 12.30am. People shouting, yelling, laughing, crying at the pub til early hours of morning. We could hear the people moving about above us, and the person in room next to us coughing and everything. When the neighbours phone went off early in the morning it woke me up as it sounded like it was in our room.
A dreadful nights sleep.
I apologize for this experience which is very disappointing as we always strive to make every visit here the very best possible. Though it is sometimes hard to control outside property disturbances we do have available 24 hour on call assistance and more than happy to assist whenever alerted to try and make sure everyone staying has a peaceful night’s accommodation.
We certainly would appreciate the opportunity to be of service again sometime in the future

Recently stayed at Homestead villas in 2 different units. A 2 bedroom apartment (with friends) then moved to a studio unit when on our own. The apartment was fantastic!! Spacious, warm, well decorated, clean & had everything you could want there. Loved it! The studio was a little bit worn (we somehow ended up in a paraplegic friendly unit, not that we cared.) But still warm, clean & with all the amenities we needed. All staff were pleasant and helpful & units cleaned & serviced each day.
The complex itself has 2 excellent restaurants just across the road, also a service station & a convenience store over the road. Town is a pleasant 15 min walk with a number of food & takeaway outlets nearby. There is also a vehicle rental agency a few hundred yards away if (like us) you decide to go exploring on your own.
I couldn't recommend Homestead Villas more highly. 10 out of 10!!!

Very nice and spacious rooms. Very nice beds, had a great nights sleep. Had a Lounge suite in our room! Nice to not to have fill kettle from bathroom sink! Great check in , nice and easy, and great location.

The real problem was the cleaner
The bedspread had a very large stain in the middle of it.
We went to reception and they came and removed it and apologized.
Obviously no one checks up on the cleaner.
Would rate cleaning very poor

Just stayed one night here but it was great. Room was huge, bed comfortable and we slept well. Very welcoming staff on reception when checking in. Would stay here again if we were ever back in Invercargill.
