I love koji
and while I don't go there all the time due to it being a lil too pricey for me I still highly endorse this Japanese restaurant for it's customer service and most importantly its food, couldn't recommend it enough to people who are looking for something different and cultural yet still kinda classy, i would bring a date here

I always make a point to grab a meal at this great restaurant every time I visit Invercargill.

This is our go-to place in Invercargill for a meal or if anyone is visiting. The food is incredible and the staff are lovely.
We’ve also had takeaways since lockdown and they have been awesome as well.
If you like Japanese food and find yourself in the area, you definitely need to try here - but book ahead if you can for a good table upstairs.

This is a wonderful restaurant to go to for groups, couples or individuals. A great variety of Japanese style foods. The place is clean, and the staff are extra helpful. Will definitely keep going back.

Went to koji for dinner with a couple of friends one night. We normally love it and always have a great experience, but this particular night the service was not great. Our European waitress came over to our table and didn’t say one thing, not even hi. It was super awkward as she just stood there waiting for us to initiate conversation. Normally our servers always greet us and have a conversation, and are helpful when we’re struggling to decide what to order. We felt so rushed and awkward with her just standing there not saying anything at all. Also, one of my friends is vegetarian, but the carrot in the vege sushi is cooked in fish stock? That’s so unnecessary and she only had the option of no fish stock if she ordered 8 pieces, when she only wanted 5. Not sure if we will be back after this experience.
