Stayed for a swimming event in Feb. Ideal location if you are wanting to be close to moana pool. Nice short walk to get there...be prepared to walk up the hill on the way back! Good amenities, nice and clean and very quiet. Would def stay again!
Welcomed in one of the two room with non smoking sign not on the door, ashtray provided. We chose to make our own bed and not to require fresh towels everyday (3 night stay) we made sûre to dispose of our rubbish everyday. On the day of our départure we were told that it was à non smoking room ! We appologized in our confusion. 48 hours later we learned that our bank had allowed bookin. Com to withdraw 150 $ from our account. I called David, the manager to try and sort out the misunderstanding in à polite way. He chose to hang up on me within 40 second in à middle of my sentence. I feel so Hurt.
Stayed for 2 nights. Nice polite host and room was very modern and comfortable. Bathroom great, lovely shower and all that you need is supplied. Great breakfasts with good variety. Host was very accommodating. Thanks for a great stay.
I stayed at this hotel a couple of times travelling for work from overseas. My job involves lots of travel, hence I am familiar with hotels and what is possible , or not. Most hotels in the world are quite accommodating when you need a late check-out, especially for a return customer. However, this is not the case at Pacific Park Dunedin. My flight out of Dunedin was late in the evening, however the owner/ operator told me that he cannot allow a late check-out as he is fully booked. This was clearly not the truth, as Booking.com was advertising available rooms for this hotel for the day. Adding to this, while the first day the included (very basic) breakfast was ok, the second day some of the components were missing, and the third day the full breakfast was forgotten! All in all , a very disappointing experience, never to return. My advice to fellow travellers: do not stay there, there are much better value , as well as welcoming and comfortable hotels in Dunedin, as I discovered when I checked-out and moved to a different Dunedin hotel for the afternoon.
Dave and Belinda were the best hosts I have ever had in a NZ motel. They accommodated us in every way. Belinda gave me fresh baked Chocolate chip biscuits, Dave offered to drive me into town to pick up my car. All these things exceeded my expectations. Very friendly and genuine people.
Our room was immaculate, warm and quiet.
I would give this stay an 11 out of 10.
