Fish hook was in walking distance of my hotel. My fish was very fresh and delicious. I really liked that I could get grilled fish which at a lot of fish and chips places you can't. Staff was very nice and friendly and the service was very good. I would go back.

Good choice of fish plus crumbed and battered. Dine in or takeaway. Fat cut or shoestring fries. Very nice fish but expensive for portion size. Adult could easily eat 2 pieces which would make cost almost $12 per person. Wouldn't return at that cost. Difficult parking in busy street.

This great place changed hands in Feb 2016 and I'm pleased to report it is still great. They've added Thai green fish curry, fish cakes and battered prawns to the menu. Recommend.

There were people dining in, eating grilled fish, chips and salad. They seemed to be enjoying it.

We purchased 1 piece of grilled fish, 2 pieces of battered fish, 5 squid rings and two scoops of fish, $29.00 to takeaway.

We only had a 3 minute trip in our car back to out motel. However by the time we got there the grilled fish was luke warm.
Also the battered fish very greasy. The squid rings were nice as were the very generous two scoops of chips.

Overall I think it was too expensive. That's a shame because, the shop looks clean and inviting. Might have to stick to the dingy, but ok fish and chips down the road.

Saw a picture of 007 James Bond Daniel Craig posing with the owner. Fried Fish is of the breaded type and is fresh and good. But frankly, many places serve fresh fish for less than what I paid for. Not too expensive but not cheap either.
