We came upon this hotel at lunchtime and this place provided one of the best meals we had in Otago
Great seafood good selection of wine and beers pleasant atmosphere and good service
Thoroughly recommend travelling the short distance from Port Chalmers for a drink or a meal

Lovely friendly pub, a good range of wine and the food looks great. In the warmer months you can sit outside, but in the winter they have a great fire to keep you arm.

We visited here for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the surroundings and seafood. My husband had previously visited from ships when he was working and often visited Port Chalmers, but I hadn't returned for 39 years! We sat in the conservatory and were glad to avoid the inevitable seagulls on the outside tables. My seafood dish was amazing (in quality & size!)....would definitely recommend if you are in that part of the world.

A seafood-centred menu which is complemented by the surroundings. Make sure you head down on a glorious day and sit outside. Mum and I had a lovely lunch here and very much enjoyed ourselves - she had the fish pie and I had the salmon cakes. Generous serving sizes :)
