This place is a gem. Great staff, amazing birds, skinks and geckos in a beautiful setting with native trees and bushes. Great place for a walk and to remind yourself of what is really important - nature!

Really enjoyed new cafe menu. Friands to die for, good vegetarian options for lunch, coffee and hot chocolate of a high standard. Fire going and great view. What more could you ask for?

A lovely eco sanctuary, a fairly easy drive from down town Dunedin. Lovely cafe. A variety of walking tracks available in the sanctuary. Quite sheltered.

We really enjoyed our visit to Orokonui Ecosanctuary. The birdsong is beautiful and the birds are quite tame.
So lovely to spend time in the wonderfully preserved native bush.
