Love attending shows at the Isaac Theatre - amazing atmosphere, beautiful building, helpful staff. All shows I went to were amazing.
The only downside is constant roadworks around the place, but there are heaps of parking places (payable) nearby.
We were walking past this theatre at 9.30 on a Sunday morning and the street was full of smartly dressed families queuing to get in. I can only assume that this was a church visit (Joseph and his Technicoloured Dreamcoat was on) to explain this unusual behaviour, its just seems a weird time.
We are so lucky to have this lovely theatre restored to its former glory. After having lost so much in Christchurch, this building is particularly significant. Went to a concert last night and really enjoyed the atmosphere. A touch of glamour.
Have now been here a couple of times in the last year. The restoration of this building is stunning and a real asset to the city
Saw the production of Grease here with my husband and daughter. Absolutely loved the show but also thought the theatre had been beautifully restored. The leg space between the seats is good even for tall people and the acoustics are excellent
I took my grandchildren to this theatre to see a production of The Gruffalo. What a beautiful theatre, so well restored after the Christchurch quakes. We were seated upstairs in the dress circle with great views of the stage. There is a bar both upstairs and downstairs. I'm also impressed with the ladies toilets, very nice.
The staff were also very pleasant and helpful.
