It was so sad to see the beautiful Cathedral in such a state of rubble - after such a long time the work should have started to repair such an amazing icon of Christchurch!

This was for me a nostalgic experience as last time I was here the Cathedral was still so sound and Historical, so sad to see the spire on the ground! Worth a look although barriers all around due to debris!

So sad to to this lovely old stone building so badly damaged and neglected.

From to social centre of the city to a roost for pigeons.

The Cathedral is still not fixed after 8 years of the terrible earthquake. This is a sad siting of the old landmark in Christchurch. Nobody is allowed in but from the outside, you could see there was heaps of damage. The yard around the cathedral was also very neglected and full of weet.
