Description: This beautifully old building began its life as an 18th century place of community connection as a Post Office before being turned into one of the most popular brunch restaurants in Christchurch. Known for its warm atmosphere and fresh flavor packed food, Hello Sunday is as close to fine dining as brunch gets. Run by Ashleigh Rangi and Jamie Moir, this is a place to escape daily ongoings and come be a part of the welcoming community that is Hello Sunday.

Just by chance after a Family visit to the Cat Cafe, we decided to try out the nearby Hello Sunday Cafe which proved to be a good choice.
The Coffees and eats were very good and it was nice to spend time in this busy but very pleasant environment.
Yes, this is a popular cafe and can be noisy when busy ,
however on the day ,the service was quick and pleasant so no worries.
If you have a hearing impairment then either book a quiet corner or choose a quieter cafe so you can enjoy your convesations.
Otherwise, do try Hello Sunday and see what you think.
We do like visiting th Hello sunday cafe ourselves

Thanks for coming by, yes we can be busy and it does get loud, but there is good seating out in the conservatory and alley which is very comfortable at those times.

Aware of good reviews, we chose this age for our birthday lunch. We appreciated being able to make a booking. However, my request for a quieter area was not successful as we were seated in the busiest position in the cafe. The cafe was busy and bustling with a good vibe. Service was friendly and prompt. We chose the Southern fried burger and the Burnt cauliflower on toasted rye bread. Both were very nice. Happy to recommend.

Thanks so much to Chris and his team. This was by far the best brunch we’ve had in years. We enjoyed the beef cheek hash (the kimchi side was the best kimchi I’ve ever eaten). The Shakshuka was delicious - star of the dish was the preserved lemon sauce. The coffee was amazing. I indulged in the mimosa cocktail - totally awesome.
Would consider moving to Christchurch to become a regular here !

The food was excellent. I had an Eggs Benedict and it was so delicious. Very different from the norm and loads of bacon ! The coffee was great and the vibe was lovely. The place seemed very popular as it was packed full the whole time we were there.
