Had a very early appointment at St Georges Hospital so needed to find a place handy so we could walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a downstairs spa bath room. It was a lovely clean compact little room with cooking facilities. I found the road noise a little loud but it didn't worry my husband as he has hearing aids.
We had a group of parents for a sports fixture. Gorgeous accommodation for us to all have our own space and lovely rooms. Great location with amazing cafe across the road. Great hosts Karen and Wayne who were very efficient and accommodating
Can’t say enough wonderful things about Merivale Manor. When we arrived, the owner greeted us and made us feel welcomed. We stayed in the two bedroom guest house and it far exceeded our expectations. It had lovely old world charm with very clean, modern accommodations. We were helped with planning our day, starting with suggestions on where to eat, places to visit and where to shop. Everything was within easy walking distance and we felt extremely safe walking around. We highly recommend them and plan to stay there on our next visit to NZ. We stayed in several 5 star hotels around our travels of the South Island but the Manor was absolutely the best
This has got to be one of the best accommodation stays in Christchurch. Perfectly presented by ultra friendly hosts, beautifully clean with comfortable bed and furnishings. Ideally situated close to CBD and local shopping, restaurants etc. Can't recommend highly enough.
Merivale Manor is a fabulous place to stay in a great location. The rooms are warm, clean and well appointed. The property and grounds are immaculately presented and there is plenty of off-street parking. Wayne and Karen are wonderful hosts who went out of their way to assist when our travel plans changed. I can’t recommend Merivale Manor highly enough and would not stay anywhere else.
