This is our first visit to Christchurch, and we had heard much of the re: Start shipping container shopping precinct. We weren't disappointed.
This whole precinct just feels like a City fighting back from adversity. Yes, the shipping container look is a bit ramshackle at times, yes the shops could have a better range, yes whatever else you want to complain about.
We enjoyed it. I bought a new shirt. We both had a good street food style lunch. It all felt positive and inspiring.

Very fond memories of many student haunts along this street, now it is all glass, modern and very chic.

Great food, great shopping. We loved roaming around Cashel Street. Inspired and impressed by how this area was developed and wish it could remain beyond its expiration date - when big buildings go back in. Loved, loved, loved.

Not the best idea for creating a shopping centre but the open air market stalls just next door were excellent

This is an interesting area with the mix of pop up and permanent shops. The area has been made alive and the sculptures are clever and amusing.

A tribute to the people of Christchurch
