Friendly, accommodating owners, fabulous crisp white bedding, large studio unit and well furnished all for a fab price AND nearly forgot; most importantly our dog could stay with us!! I wish all motels were like this; what a breath of fresh air! Really impressed and we’ve stayed in a lot of motels for work as well as pleasure so have many to compare with. Clean,spacious and lots of little extras like tissues, fresh coffee and milk (not UHT), even biscuits! We won’t be staying anywhere else when we’re next in Christchurch 😊

We spent 17 nights at Tuscana Motor Lodge when my wife and I were stuck at Christchurch during the Covid-19 lockdown. Despite these conditions, we had a very pleasant stay.
Vivienne and Grant are two very helpful and kind hosts. The rooms are well equipped. There are a barbecue area and laundry facilities for longer stays. The motel is localized at a short walk distance of the city center and supermarkets and at 15-20 minutes drive of the airport.
Our opinion is well summarized by The National Geographic guidebook on New-Zealand (French Edition of 2019): Tuscana Motor Lodge is on the "top of the list" of motels located on Bealey Av. "thanks to its good hospitality and its comfortable rooms".

Vivienne and Grant are perfect hosts and wonderful people. Nothing was a problem for them at a difficult time when New Zealand went into lock down. The motel is located walking distance to the CBD, Victoria Street restaurants/cafes and short walk to Merivale mall and shops. The rooms are well equiped, spacious and immaculately clean. Highly recommended.
