Parking was easy, check in was seamless, room was amazing & clean & the staff were super friendly. The room was serviced daily & fresh towels left. They even brought up a plate of goodies for my birthday! Will highly recommend The George. We will take George the bear with us on our travels...

We got this lovely hotel in a vacation package, but now that I know about it, it would be my first choice in Christchurch. The George is staffed by some of the most friendly, considerate, and informative staff around. It is ideally located near the botanical gardens and about a 15 minute walk from the Riverside Market and center of town. The room was very nice, turn down service with a special treat! They also have free self laundry which came in very handy for us. Would definitely stay here again.
