Room smelt of cleaners. Shower head kept falling down. Did the job but a bit average.
It was a good location but i felt it was a bit dated and could have done with an upgrade. I will not be staying here again.

Stayed four nights there recently and found this to be a reasonable place to stay. The room was very spacious, with a good area to setup up my laptop to do work. The bed was comfortable and cooking facilities sufficient. The bathroom could do with some work, getting dated with some repair work needed. Soap dispensers were all empty and not refilled

Looking for somewhere to stay close to the Riccarton Mall Shopping Complex? This motel is directly opposite the mall and is not far from Christchurch centre and also the airport. The motel is run by two charming hosts in Kimberley and George. They are very friendly and very helpful. The rooms have cooking facilities, TV, Wifi and electric blankets. The rooms are very clean and well appointed. I would stay here again if I return to Christchurch.
Room tip: Request a downstairs room if you don't like carrying cases upstairs

Team very attentive - personable and carried my VERY heavy bag which I felt bad about
Room clean - simple but well looked after.
Super close to the mall and check out was a breeze! Good toiletries - overall great stay!
Free parking is always a treat!

Stayed here for one night after getting off the train and before getting on the plane home the next day.
They promote a free pick up service from the train station, but this only applies if you book with the hotel directly (they charged $10 per person if you book through Expedia, etc. and then request a pick up).
Couple were really good, and organised a cab for us, stored our luggage, etc.
Room was small, but clean. You do hear noise from the other units (for us, on the ground, we could hear foot steps from the unit above).
Free 1Gb of WiFi included.
Room tip: Try and get a room away from the road - it is busy

An overnight stay to attend a cricket test match at Hagley Oval. Had a twin room for a mate and I to stay in. Nice a close to the oval and the many amenities Riccarton offers.
We arrived from a 5 hour drive at 9am, but even though that was before we could check in, the friendly team there allowed us to leave our car there for the day while we went to the cricket. We checked in later at about 7pm no worries.
Friendly staff and OK rooms for the price, overall a pleasant stay.
