We enjoyed our meal of chicken kadai (req. mildly spicy), chicken madras (medium spicy), both served with rice, and a vegetable-chicken noodles dish (mild) so much that we asked the owners(?) whether they wouldn't like to move to Los Angeles. Wonderful flavors, twice the portion we're accustomed to back home and filled with large pieces of tender chicken, the three dishes could have fed four. The Chai tea latte drinks somehow paired perfectly, at least for my spicier chicken. We'd return tomorrow, if we weren't catching the train.

I am a pilot for an international airline and have eaten at Indian restaurants all over the world, including New Delhi, London, and New York City. I found the food to be outstanding. I tried the butter chicken and the lamb. The meats were tender, and the sauces, thick, rich, and delicious.
Fast and friendly service, too

I had a masala dosa at this restaurant which was in an eclectic group of stores and restaurants in Christchurch called “Riverside Market”. The dosa and accompanying chutneys and sambar were tasty. My only quibble is that they did not offer smaller South Indian items (besides dosas and utappams) like puma or idlis. That would’ve have made a perfect lunch, Instead, they have North Indian dishes - perhaps this came from experience. But they have been innovative by adding eggs and/or cheese to dosas - not bad!
