We stayed three nights and found the location to be excellent. It was an easy walk to the shops and restaurants. Room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and there was plenty of parking.

After spending a couple of weeks here, I have really enjoyed the experience. Two different room experiences - both with some small pros and cons.

The first week was in the older rooms with a kitchenette. This brought the convenience of cooking with a beautiful room. Would have liked to have seen a slightly more modern bathroom as a little over the shower in a bath especially for a hotel like this. This is a small gripe though.

For the second week, in the newer rooms which were lovely as well. Better shower set but then lost some of the bench space for the basin. Attractive and modern and can see that these options provide excellent options for different types of travellers.

Highs on both rooms were the beds and the pillow. Very luxurious, comfortable and topped with sensational blackout curtains, it was tough to get out of bed in the mornings.

Staff always greeted me with a smile every night. It did make me feel at home. Loved the service.

Hint: There are a number of room options that cater for all needs. Make sure you select them for your appropriate need

Room tip: Older rooms are more practical than the newer ones

From arrival to departure this hotel made one keen to return . We stayed 2 days ( Sun/Mon Jun 24/25 ) . On arrival ( noon ) the smiling lovely Receptionist made us so welcome , called housekeeping to have our room ready , then phoned while we lunched down the road . The room was first class , the bathroom a good size , the deck off the bedroom bathed in sunshine . At dinner the staff could not have been more pleasant and engaging with the quality of food matching the team that served us . The Receptionist on day 2 , had the same happy , pleasant , helpful demeanor as the first Receptionist . Cant wait to return

I live in Rural Marlborough and its always handy to have some nice accommodation on hand when the need arises to stay in town. On this particular occasion, I needed to get out of the house to some peace and quiet for Uni exams, due to a new baby in our household causing some disruptions to sleeping patterns!

On every occasion that I’ve stayed with the Chateau, the staff have been attentive, the rooms have been impeccably clean and all the usual amenities are on hand to ensure a comfortable stay. The Chateau is particularly close to the CBD and a number of great cafes! There is plenty of off street parking, an onsite gym, pool, restaurant and bar.

I stayed in an Executive Suite (106). Despite close proximity to the guest laundry, I had no issues with sound from outside the room. The housekeeping team were awesome and particularly amenable to my request for thinner pillows — certainly service with a smile from this great team. Equally, the gentleman on the front desk was very forgiving and quickly provided me with a replacement for the one I lost... (hmm... found it in my room oops).

Thanks Chateau! Will be back when the need next arises — your comfort, cleanliness and friendly team make it a real pleasure to stay with you!

Staff very nice and hotel super clean and very comfy bed.
Was pretty disappointed by breakfast. 5 Star hotel with a TravelLodge style very minimalistic buffet and everything from the hot buffet was pretty cold.

Hi samkretschmer,

Thank you for your kind feedback,

Great to hear you enjoyed our Hotel and facilities. Disappointing to see you did not enjoy our buffet breakfast, we have recently changed to a continental breakfast buffet, with the choice to order hot food from our A la carte menu.

We do hope to welcome you back in the future.

Kind regards

Matthew
