On our way to Christchurch and this is the perfect place to one or two nights. Although the road is nearby overnight there was virtually no traffic noise so slept soundly.
The owners are very welcoming and the room clean and comfortable. We thoroughly recommend this motel and it is good value for what you get.
Montana Lodge motel is a great place to stop off, either going to, or coming off the ferry.
Picton is only 20 minutes drive away. Handy to town, and all the visitor attraction, and of course the wineries. Thank you for your comments regarding the cleanliness and comfort of the accommodation. Please do call again.
We stayed here recently to attend a family wedding and booked 2 x 2 bedroom units. Margaret and Peter were most obliging and nothing was a problem to help our two families. Margaret even went beyond the call of duty helping with the laundry and taking the family photos when we were all glamed up!!! The units were very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend and will stay again if ever in Blenheim - thank you :)
Montana Lodge Motel is great for family based functions. There is plenty of space for people to chill out in. Very handy to The Old Barn Function Centre.
If we can do anything to make our guests stay more enjoyable, then we will do our very best to achieve it. The family photo under the big old lemon tree in the guest garden was ideal.

My wife and I stayed at the Montana Lodge Motel in Blenheim for a couple of days. The town is situated in New Zealand's wine country region - yet another superb area of a country the beauty of which defies description. The motel's rooms, each with a fairly large and easily accessible kitchenette, are exceptionally spacious, immaculately maintained and ideally suited for tourists who wish to explore Marlborough, New Zealand's premier wine region. Both Peter and Margaret (Pete and Mag) who manage the motel, proved to be inordinately warm and helpful. Pete is a specialist when it comes to the wine country - a veritable fount of knowledge which he is happy to share. The motel is located across the road from a delightful, almost-old world pub, which we visited on New Year's eve, and is a three or four minutes' drive to the town's centre. We recommend the Montana Lodge unreservedly to would-be visitors to the Blenheim/Marlborough region....Michael
What can we say? It is easy to host guests when you live in one of the best regions in NZ.
Michael and his wife asked questions and we were pleased and able to answer them. Interested and actively engaged guests are wonderful people to host, and if our knowledge and facilities enhance their stay, then everyone wins.

Stayed at their studio plus with my husband and my daughter before NYE on the way back to Wellington from Christchurch. Even though it was very busy, the owner Pete was friendly welcoming.
The room was perfect size for us and super clean with neutral decoration. Especially the kitchen unit was brand-new (I think we were the first guest after the renovation?). Was so glad they have a hair drier as I needed to dry my daughter's thick long hair after shower.
Their body soap dispenser was a bit hard to push the gel out. As the light was fluorescent, it was bright to spend night time.
My daughter's most fun place in Blenheim was their trampoline! Thanks for relaxing and enjoying time for all of us.
The Kitchen / Bathroom renovations are approximately 1 year old, nice to read that they are perceived in new condition, as that is testament to the cleanliness standards of our staff.
Your comments regarding the lighting are taken on board, and we will review that at our next electrical energy efficiency meeting. We are currently running energy efficient lighting, but technology is always moving the "bar" on this.

We liked this motel better than newer ones down the road. The owner met us and introduced himself and shook hands on arrival. The units are well set out and have been tastefully decorated in neutral tones. There's a separate bin for recyclables - the first time I've seen that in a motel - and flowing soap/shampoo canisters instead of those horrible little packets of stuff. Lovely outdoor area - don't have to sit in the carpark - with lemon tree and herbs you can help yourself to, and a pool and play area. Big thumbs up!
