I have stayed in many iconic five star hotels around the world but this small hotel amongst the vineyards in Marlborough beats most of them. A very basic lobby and central restaurant/bar area and 12 great chalet style rooms, finished to a great spec. We had the very end one which is surrounded by vineyards, truly spectacular. Who ever has put together the rooms has stayed in them as every little detail is though of. But what made stay really great was the staff. We had a great meal in the restaurant and were served by Caroline and her sister, who indulged my curiosity of local wines, very friendly and just brilliant service.
When we were leaving the restaurant they gave us a basket we had ordered for breakfast, which is a takeout affair that didn't sound great but when we open the (very large) basket back in the chalet it was just great, with a lot of effort put into its contents.
Cannot praise this hotel enough, one of the best hotel experiences ever.More
