Found this restaurant by chance and ate there on a Saturday. They don't take reservations and it was busy when we arrived but after a g and t at the bar admiring "Carmen" (not the barmaid but the beautifully polished Italian coffee machine in pride of place on the bar!) our table was ready. The staff were lovely, very helpful particularly on selecting the wine which was the perfect accompaniment to the really tasty fillet steak. I think this must be their speciality. And needless to say excellent coffee. Would definitely eat there again.

Lovely place both inside and out.
We went here for date night and had a lovely couple of waiters serve us. The bottle of wine was lovely and went down a treat. We both had starters (Pork belly and mushroom ravioli). I was told the pork belly was lovely. The ravioli was okay, i thought the filling was a little too chunky and some of the pasta was still a little under-cooked.
We both had steak for mains which was incredibly tender and super tasty. We was a little confused at first as the chips/mash came out after the steak so had thought they had forgotten. the chips looked lovely and ans the mash was great (a little too smokey for my liking). Couldn't manage a dessert as we were both full, but they sounded amazing.
Would go back for an occasion but a little too expensive to go regularly.

Boulcott St Bistro was excellent, if you are looking for a really nice meal in a relaxing environment, then this is the place. Perfect fillet steak and they were more than happy to accommodate our request for a couple of changes to the menu. Beautiful little cottage.
Boulcott St Bistro certainly lived up to the hype from other reviews.

We were looking for a nice restaurant near the Terrace and here it is! Delicious food that I don’t make myself at home. Mushroom ravioli with truffle oil was really sensational. The fish of the day was cooked perfectly. The Almond Dacquoise was an unexpected delight. Nice wine list. Attentive, knowledgeable staff. Not cheap but good value for the food, wine, ambience and service. We had a lovely evening and will come again.
