As it was Friday night we decided to go out for dessert, we ordered the Creme Brûlée, Eclair, Sticky Date pudding and Pinot Noir and Ghana Mousse. They were all fabulous and even though we were feeling full we couldn't stop eating. The service and ambiance was great we will definitely be going back.

We arrived at an early hour mid week with a group of people, and had time to relax in the bar first. There is a wide selection of top shelf and very nice range of wines to partake from.
The setting was beautiful in a wonderful historic house, but I was a little disappointed in the menu and food. My husband is vegetarian and once again no real thought had gone into the dish and no comparison to the meat dishes.
I chose the lamb shank and this was delicious and filling. Others in the group took the steak and these seemed to be cooked perfectly.
There were 2 small side dishes of vegetables for the table, and while the asparagus was good, the plate of lettuce was cut into chunks with a sauce and nothing else, and unfortunately tasted bitter.

I was with a group and most were meat eaters. Their meals were beautifully presented and by all accounts tasted great.

However for the vegetarians we were offered a bowl with white beans, 4 small bits of over cooked gnocchi, a couple of fried cherry tomatoes and a tiny bit of pumpkin. This was to be served with a herb broth, but sadly all this meant was everything came in a bowl and was sinking in a lake of butter. The meal had no taste other than all that butter.

A simple re-plating onto a flat plate where the tomatoes and pumpkin sit to one side , while the beans have just a little of the liquid over them would possible make this palatable, but even then it is a very weak attempt at an enticing vegetarian option, especially when being changed over $30 and not much less than the much better served meat options.

I had been really looking forward to this meal when told where we were dining, but sadly left very disappointed. This is a shame as it has such huge potential and great surroundings.
