I just finished a relaxing and wonderful lunch at Boulcott Street Bistro in central Wellington. This was a business lunch for five and was perfect for such an occasion. The food was great. I had the whitebait which was incredible. Our service was perfect and they managed the right combination of attentiveness for a business lunch. The building is an old house converted into a restaurant and has lots of character. This restaurant has been around a long time but is still very relevant in the Wellington dining scene. I strongly recommend this for either a business meal or an intimate meal for two

This is our first visit here and it was delightful
You pay for it but it's the old adage you get what you pay for.
The food was top notch, the pick was the lamb shank which unfortunately wasn't mine but I managed to have a try
I had the aged beef, on the small side but cooked to perfection
It was busy, a little noisy but over all good service
The menu was tight but lacked a varied choice for our vegetarian in the party
We will go again (Once we save up !!)
The photo shows 2 deserts ample to share between four guests !!

Had a wonderful night here with my wife recently. The restaurant itself is very beautiful and cosy sat amongst all the high rises.

I thought the food was very impressive but even better was the service - attentive but not invasive, friendly and genuine.

Highly recommend a visit for dinner and we'll definitely be back on our next visit to Wellington.

We have often been to this restaurant which is in one of the pldest Wellington cottages, restored and brought to the site.. There are no surprises. with trespect to the food, always above average and without the very high prices of some of its competitors. Booking essential. Intimate atmosphete.

We booked the special pre-WOW dinner and were so glad we did! The bistro is tucked away up on Boulcott St in an amazing villa with turrets and odd little windows. Atmosphere was buzzing with WOW diners, very busy but the staff were so efficient and helpful. We didn't feel at all rushed, the food was excellent and the petit fours included for taking to the show were consumed much later in the hotel! A great place to go for a romantic dinner or special occasion and worth every cent. I will definitely revisit Boulcott St next time I'm in Wellington.
