The QT is my home from home when I visit Wellington. I love the quirky art and the special touches.
Your staff are lovely from the concierge to the receptionists and of course the wait staff in the lounge.

Not a patch on its former self.
On arrival the according to his badge 'mananger' of some sort could not find our bookings, eventually he did with help, it took far to long and there was nothing complicated with our booking.
No porter service offered for our package and no explanation that they had closed the Hippo restaurant and bar which we found out on our return at night.
On return on a Wednesday night at 21:50 the bar downstairs was closed and no other options in a hotel of this size and reputation!
Having stayed here many times over the years and coming back after a absence of 3 or so years it was so disappointing.
I am sad for Wellington.

We bought a 3 night stay including breakfast and paid up front, then when it came time to check out we were told we had another $1000 owing which was incorrect and quite a shock. After going back and forth to sort it it left a damper on our experience, as we really enjoyed everything. When booking I would recommend double checking what is actually included in your stay vs. what you will need to pay extra for, other than that the stay was great and staff very professional

Well folks. My travels have allowed me to stay in many beautiful hotels and while QT Wellington is certainly eccentric and quirky, it isn’t one that I would rate highly. Careful with your booking as the rooms you see in the web pages are the more expensive and prices are certainly high.
Breakfast in the restaurant, while giving good views was less than impressive. Food was cold. Only positive was the coffee.
I shortened my stay in this hotel as it just didn’t meet the mark.

Got told only valet parking to then find out three people later they have a deal with Te papa across the road.
Hotel itself was lovely with nice art work and restaurant was fast and nice.

We also apologise that parking was not explained clearly. If you park at Te Papa and take your parking ticket to the QT reception desk, you can enjoy parking for $30 per day. We also offer valet parking on site for $50 per day.
