My new favorite place to stay in Wellington. Great location by the waterfront,with superb Customer Service. My room was immaculately presented, with the nicest pillows I've experienced. Excellent dining in the Hippopotamus Bar, but my favorite aspect of my stay was the artwork displayed throughout the hotel complex.

My husband and I are frequent visitors. We had a total of over two weeks accommodation spread over four weeks. The staff were incredibly helpful, changing bookings , nothing was too much trouble. From reception, concierge to housekeeping we were so well looked after in a more than comfortable and beautifully decorated hotel. Thanks Peter and Angela

I booked our team into this quirky hotel, and it was better than expected. The beds were comfy, it was warm and clean. It has very different artwork around the hotel which makes you want to stop and look.
We had breakfast in the Hippopotamus bar, and it was delicious.

The good aspects were
+ the outstanding artwork in foyer
+ the bar
+ the huge bath was great
+ the shower was good
+ good soundproofing
+ TV mount position opp bed was good
The not so good:
+ coffee cups in room wayyyy too thick
+ electric jug was dinky and really cheap
+ mattress was a bit soft
+ no filter coffee bags

When I arrived the entrance buzzer on Wakefield wasn’t working. Fortunately a guest let me in. Then at reception they couldn’t find my booking, although I had the booking number and the travel agent email. They then searched again and found they had booked me the following night but not for the first night….room was average, no coffee machine, hard pillows…won’t be staying again.
So sorry to hear your experience was not great. It appears you stayed at the Museum Apartment Hotel. We've asked for your review to be moved. Best wishes.
