The hotel was not what we imagined for the price we were paying. The balcony was dirty and hard to access as the door kept shutting. It was hard to hear when room service was being delivered. The service was slow when asking for knives and forks and the receptionists seemed less interested in us as guests and more interested in the shift changeover. Our food from room service was sub-standard. The Sticky date pudding looked, felt, and tasted like it was bunged in the microwave... there was simply no love at this hotel. Nice to look at, but no heart!

Once again, the QT was an amazing place to stay. We wanted a relaxed, fun, quality weekend away in Wellingto n and QT delivered. Was lovely having the pool, spa and proper sauna to relax in at the end of the day. Close to swimming at Oriental Bay, food trucks on Sunday morning and Hilma Klint Exhibition. We also had a $60 credit to spend at the Hippopotamus Restaurant which was a lovely surprise. We are gold members and enjoyed our complimentary drink on arrival and late checkout time of 1pm. Always a pleasure staying at the QT

Our experience with QT was mixed. The lobby and entrances and reception etc were stunningly presented. The staff were great, helpful and accommodating. The room had beautiful touches, like the mini bar being stocked with lovely artisan treats and lovely complimentary toiletries.

The state of the room however was really underwhelming. Little things like the light outside our door hanging (almost falling off the wall), fixtures in the room needing replacing like loose handles, some dishes in the kitchenette were dirty, cups didn’t match, and much more. The curtains had fallen down off the rail and patches of the walls had been re-plastered but not repainted. Small details really but we were disappointed considering how much attention was paid to the communal spaces and really when your paying $$$ you do expect more.
