Excellent B&B in a very convenient location if travelling by car. It is easy to get to and from (in Wellington terms, which always requires a little navigational nouse) from the motorway, ferry or airport.
The rooms are very nicely furnished with high ceilings and a classic theme. The house is believed to have been the home of a famous NZ politician, Julius Vogel, and certainly evokes the period style.
The outstanding feature is the genuine hospitality of Willy as host. Although he has been in NZ for decades, he retains his truly Irish native love of chat, which is both genuine and endlessly interesting.
Very highly recommended.
